Scott Redding crashes at Silverstone, but finishes seventeenth
The weekend of the Octo British Grand Prix finished on something of a low for Scott Redding who crashed after two laps, while fighting for the top 8, and eventually took the chequered flag in the seventeenth position.
The British rider began with a very good start and after two turns was already in fourth place. But the race was stopped immediately by the red flag for the accident, fortunately without serious consequences, that involved Loris Baz and Pol Espargaro.
After the second start Scott was not decisive but still managed to stay in the Top 10. After two laps he had a crash from pretty much nowhere. Redding continued racing right until the end to pay a tribute to his fans.
17th – Scott Redding
“It is a pity. I started very well in the first race. In the second race, something has changed, I felt I had less feeling. I crashed without any warning from the bike. It can happen. I am sorry it happened here. But never give up! I continued till the end, even though it was not easy, even to thank my fans who have supported me lap by lap.”
