Bad weather conditions influenced the first day of free practice at the Tissot Czech round, sixth event of the 2021 WorldSBK season.

After the FP1 held in dry conditions, the rain started to fall heavily at the beginning of FP2 and the two Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team riders (as well as other colleagues) decided not to take to the track. For Scott Redding and Michael Ruben Rinaldi, next up is tomorrow morning’s FP3 (at 9.00 CEST) when the weather seems to exclude the risk of new storms.

FP1
Scott was immediately at ease on the new circuit and was the fastest for most of the session, closing in third place using the same rear tire (20 laps in total).

Scott Redding (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #45)
“The day started quite well. The feeling with the bike was positive this morning and I was able to ride consistently with a convincing race pace. In the afternoon, then, there were no conditions to get on track. I really hope to be able to race tomorrow on a dry track”.
